International Conference on Urban Health
Through its annual International Conference on Urban Health (ICUH) and program activities, the ISUH serves as a platform for interdisciplinary academic researchers and educators, practitioners and policymakers from multiple sectors in government and the private sector.
We welcome you to join our international network of interdisciplinary urban health researchers, policymakers, practitioners, business leaders, and grassroots community advocates to exchange ideas, advance research and drive action across sectors, transforming urban environments to improve health, equity, and environmental sustainability in cities worldwide.
IMPORTANT - We have been made aware of another organization advertising The International Research Conference's ICUH 2022 International Conference on Urban Health in Vienna. This is NOT our conference and we want to be sure all those interested in attending do not mistakenly think they are signing up for our conference. 18th International Conference on Urban HealthGrowing Our Global Community. Driving Action. Ensuring Equity.
The International Society for Urban Health (ISUH) is delighted to invite you to join our 18th International Conference on Urban Health (ICUH) taking place in Valencia, Spain, 24-27 October 2022.
There is a growing body of urban health research and evidence, yet gaps exist in knowledge generation, translation, and application for urban design and health practice. Cross-sectoral collaboration and multidisciplinary training and action are needed to better bridge disciplines and better define urban health within a global context. The ICUH serves as a key convergence point to advance and support the generation, exchange, and application of urban health programs and policies.
The theme for ICUH 2022 is Growing Our Global Community. Driving Action. Ensuring Equity. During this year’s conference, we aim to connect all global stakeholders working within the urban health realm to drive action and ensure equity across cities and regions. We will explore how urban health can connect with other urban and global agendas, such as climate change, planetary health and sustainable development. We will explore models for engagement and empowerment, prioritizing and defining equity across communities, how biodiversity and natural elements can play a role in healthy urban futures, and ways to reduce climate impacts for all.
ICUH 2022 will take place in-person and will also offer select sessions virtually. The program will include more practice-oriented discussions, workshops, special exhibitions and site visits to local projects. Our two venues, the Botanical Gardens and La Petxina Cultural-Sporting Center, offer innovative and inspiring environments for the conference events.
